Aims And Scope
Neurodegenerative Diseases: Current Research (NDCR) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to the advancement of scientific knowledge and clinical understanding of neurodegenerative disorders. NDCR serves as a multidisciplinary platform for researchers, clinicians, and healthcare professionals to share cutting-edge discoveries, translational research, and therapeutic innovations aimed at understanding, preventing, and treating neurodegenerative diseases.
The journal covers a wide range of disorders characterized by progressive loss of structure or function of neurons, including but not limited to Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, Huntington's disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), and multiple sclerosis (MS). NDCR emphasizes the integration of molecular biology, genetics, pharmacology, and clinical neuroscience to foster novel insights and improve patient outcomes.
Scope includes but is not limited to:
- Molecular and cellular mechanisms of neurodegeneration
- Biomarker discovery and diagnostic technologies
- Neuroinflammation and immune responses in neurodegeneration
- Neuroimaging and electrophysiological approaches
- Preclinical and clinical studies on therapeutic interventions
- Genetic and epigenetic influences on disease progression
- Neuroprotective strategies and drug development
- Aging and its impact on neurodegenerative diseases
- Cognitive and behavioral symptoms of neurodegenerative conditions
- Palliative care and quality-of-life strategies for affected individuals
NDCR welcomes original research articles, reviews, case reports, and brief communications that contribute to the global effort to combat neurodegenerative diseases and enhance neurological health.
